Wi Ha-jun Confirmed to Star Opposite Park Eun-bin in New Film Nam Eun-jung
Wi Ha-jun has officially joined the cast of the upcoming film Nam Eun-jung, where he will star opposite Park Eun-bin as her character's boyfriend.
According to a report from Hankook Ilbo on August 28, Wi Ha-jun has been confirmed to appear in the film and will take on the role of Park Sun-gyu, the warm and caring boyfriend of Nam Eun-jung, played by Park Eun-bin.
Wi Ha-jun and Park Eun-bin to Play a Couple
Nam Eun-jung follows the complicated relationship between Kang Hyun-sook, a mother who has spent her life raising three children on her own, and her youngest daughter, Nam Eun-jung.
Park Eun-bin will portray Eun-jung, a daughter who has gradually grown distant from her mother after years of conflict and unresolved emotions. The film will explore the misunderstandings and feelings that have accumulated between the two women as they attempt to understand each other.
Wi Ha-jun will play Park Sun-gyu, Eun-jung's affectionate boyfriend. The role is expected to show a softer side of the actor, who has previously taken on characters across romance, action, thriller, and other genres.
His casting also marks a new on-screen pairing with Park Eun-bin, adding another dimension to the film's family-centered story.
Yeom Jung-ah and Park Eun-bin Lead the Film
Before Wi Ha-jun's casting was reported, Yeom Jung-ah and Park Eun-bin had been confirmed as the central mother-daughter duo.
Yeom Jung-ah will play Kang Hyun-sook, a mother who has endured numerous turning points in her life while raising her three children and doing everything she can to protect her family.
Park Eun-bin will portray Nam Eun-jung, her youngest daughter. The film is expected to focus on the realistic emotions and conflicts between a mother and daughter who love each other but have struggled to become close.
The casting marks the first time Yeom Jung-ah and Park Eun-bin will appear together in a film.
A Directorial Debut
Nam Eun-jung is the feature-film directorial debut of Kim Dong-hoon.
Kim has previously worked in advertising and has won the Korea Advertising Awards twice. He will both write and direct the film, which centers on the emotional relationship between a mother and daughter.
The project is being produced by Snowball H and is currently scheduled to film from August through October 2026. An official release date has not yet been announced.
