tvN Unveils New Teaser for 100 Days of Deception Starring Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jinyoung

tvN has unveiled a new teaser for its upcoming drama “100 Days of Deception,” offering another glimpse into the dangerous world surrounding Kim Yoo-jung’s character and revealing more about the secrets at the heart of the story.

The period spy romance stars Kim Yoo-jung, Park Jinyoung, Kim Hyun-joo, Lee Moo-saeng, and Jin Sun-kyu. The newly released teaser gives viewers another look at the characters and the tense circumstances that will bring them together.

A Dangerous Mission Begins

“100 Days of Deception” is set during the Japanese occupation of Korea and follows Lee Ga Gyeong (Kim Yoo-jung), Gyeongseong’s most skilled pickpocket.

After becoming involved with the independence movement, Lee Ga Gyeong takes on a dangerous undercover mission. She disguises herself as an interpreter trainee and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea, where she becomes entangled with Kim Tae Woong, also known as Sato Hideo (Park Jinyoung).

Kim Tae Woong is the newly appointed interpreter of the Government-General and the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea. Although he appears to be a polished and talented elite, he hides his own secrets and emotional wounds.

The story will unfold over 100 days as the characters navigate espionage, deception, hidden identities, and the struggle for Korean independence.

Kim Yoo-jung and Park Jinyoung Lead the Cast

Kim Yoo-jung takes on the role of Lee Ga Gyeong, a bold young woman whose life changes dramatically after she becomes an undercover spy.

Park Jinyoung plays Kim Tae Woong, a multilingual interpreter who works inside the Japanese Government-General while carrying his own complicated past.

The main cast also includes Kim Hyun-joo as Yoo So Ran, a sniper and member of the resistance group Gugukdan; Lee Moo-saeng as Yoo Philip, a correspondent who secretly works with the resistance; and Jin Sun-kyu as Sato Shinichi, a powerful official and one of Gugukdan’s assassination targets.

From the Director of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”

“100 Days of Deception” is directed by Yoo In-shik, whose previous credits include “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and the “Dr. Romantic” series.

The screenplay comes from Ryu Bo-ri, who previously wrote “Do You Like Brahms?” The combination of a historical setting, espionage, romance, and the creative team behind several acclaimed dramas has made the series one of tvN’s notable upcoming projects.

The production team has also emphasized the significance of the drama's story, with the cast and crew observing a moment of silence for Korean independence activists during the first script reading.
