‘The Judge from Hell’ Season 2 Reportedly Eyes September 2027 Premiere

The wait for The Judge from Hell Season 2 may finally be getting a little shorter.

The hit SBS fantasy drama is currently being prepared for a 2027 return, with recent reports suggesting that filming could begin in April 2027 and that the second season may be targeting a September 2027 premiere.

However, the September release date has not been officially confirmed by SBS, so it should currently be considered a reported target rather than a finalized broadcast schedule.

Park Shin Hye Is Set to Return

SBS officially announced in June that Park Shin Hye will return for the second season as Kang Bit Na, the judge whose body is possessed by the demon Justitia.

The announcement was made as part of SBS's 2026–2027 drama lineup. Studio S CEO Hong Sung Chang confirmed that The Judge from Hell 2 would be among the dramas planned for broadcast in 2027.

The first season, which aired in 2024, followed Kang Bit Na as she punished criminals who escaped human justice, while gradually developing a deeper connection with detective Han Da On.

Park Shin Hye's return means that the character at the center of the original story will once again lead the supernatural legal drama.

Could Kim Jae Young Return?

While Park Shin Hye's return has been confirmed, Kim Jae Young's return has not been officially announced by SBS.

Kim Jae Young played detective Han Da On in the first season and was one of the key figures in Kang Bit Na's story. His potential return has therefore become one of the biggest questions surrounding the upcoming season.

Recent online reports have claimed that he is also expected to return, but at this point his casting should still be treated as unconfirmed.

When Could Season 2 Premiere?

According to current information circulating around the production, filming is reportedly scheduled to begin in April 2027, with the drama potentially aiming for a September 2027 broadcast.

The current Namu/Moe entry for the drama lists The Judge from Hell 2 as a 2027 SBS Friday-Saturday drama and currently gives a provisional October 2027 broadcast date. However, this information is subject to change and is not an official SBS premiere announcement.

SBS itself has only confirmed that the second season is planned for 2027.

More Details Are Still to Come

The Judge from Hell originally premiered in September 2024 and became one of SBS's notable fantasy dramas, combining courtroom elements with supernatural action and romance. The series starred Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young as Kang Bit Na and Han Da On.

With Season 2 now officially planned, attention will turn toward the remaining cast announcements, filming schedule, story details, and the eventual premiere date.

For now, 2027 is confirmed, while September and the reported April filming start remain unconfirmed targets.

More official details about The Judge from Hell 2 are expected as production moves forward.
