‘Take Charge of My Heart’ Unveils First Teaser and Poster Ahead of Netflix Premiere

Netflix has unveiled the first teaser and new promotional poster for Take Charge of My Heart, its upcoming romantic comedy starring Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin.
The series follows a man whose artificial heart is running out of power and a woman whose body produces electricity — making her the one person capable of literally recharging him.
Take Charge of My Heart will premiere exclusively on Netflix on October 9, 2026.

An Artificial Heart Meets a Woman Who Can Generate Electricity
Kim Young-kwang stars as Baek Ho-rang, a third-generation chaebol heir who runs a resort belonging to one of Korea's largest conglomerates.
Despite his polished appearance and strong business skills, Ho-rang has a secret: he has an artificial heart, and its battery is gradually reaching a critical point.
His situation changes when he meets Na Bo-bae, played by Chae Soo-bin.
Bo-bae is a screenwriter who has electricity running through her body after being struck by lightning as a child. Her unusual condition means that touching someone can give them an electric shock — but Ho-rang is the one person who is unaffected by her touch.
When Ho-rang realizes that Bo-bae can recharge his artificial heart, the two enter an unconventional arrangement that gradually begins to blur the line between a practical deal and romance.
A High-Voltage Romantic Comedy
Based on the Naver web novel Charge Me Up by Hae Beon, Take Charge of My Heart is directed by Park Soo-won, known for Birthcare Center and Work Later, Drink Now 2, with a screenplay by Song You-chae.
The series combines romance, comedy, fantasy, and corporate intrigue as Ho-rang deals with both the battle surrounding his family's business and the increasingly complicated relationship with Bo-bae.
The supporting cast includes Cha Woo-min as Ji Eun-ho and Jung Jae-kwang as Choi Do-yun, with Shin Do-hyun also appearing as Han Seol Hui.
Watch the First Teaser
The newly released teaser introduces the unusual relationship at the center of the series, combining romantic comedy with the fantasy premise of a man who literally needs to be "charged" by the woman he meets.
The teaser plays with the show's central concept: they charge when they touch, discharge when they separate, and risk getting electrocuted by love.
Netflix has also unveiled new promotional material highlighting Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin as the central couple.
When Does ‘Take Charge of My Heart’ Premiere?
