Kim Si-a Reportedly in Talks to Star Opposite Park Ji Hoon in ‘Holding On to the End of This Night’

Actress Kim Si-a may be joining Park Ji Hoon in the upcoming drama ‘Holding On to the End of This Night’, but neither actor has officially confirmed their casting yet.
According to a September 14 report from JTBC Entertainment News, Kim Si-a has been offered the role of Yoo Mi Ji, the female lead of the upcoming drama, and would potentially star opposite Park Ji Hoon.
However, Kim Si-a's agency clarified that she has received the offer and is currently reviewing it as one of several projects under consideration.
Kim Si-a Could Play a Low-Level Drug Dealer
If she accepts the role, Kim Si-a will portray Yoo Mi Ji, a low-level drug dealer whose life eventually becomes intertwined with that of a sanitation worker.
The drama follows two people living completely different lives under the night sky: a low-level drug dealer and a sanitation worker who quietly cleans up the streets after the chaos of the night.
Their seemingly insignificant encounter sets off a chain of events that brings their lives together, ultimately leading the two to become a source of salvation and light for each other.
Park Ji Hoon was previously reported to have been cast as Choi Woo Sung, a sanitation worker who once dreamed of becoming a pianist before choosing the job to support himself.
However, his agency later clarified that his casting is also not confirmed, stating that the actor had received the offer but had not even read the script yet.
Kim Si-a's Next Challenge
Kim Si-a made her acting debut in the 2018 film Miss Baek and has since built an impressive filmography across both movies and television.
Her credits include films such as The House of Us, Ashfall, The Closet, Kill Boksoon, and Gyeongju, as well as dramas and series including Kingdom: Ashin of the North, The Silent Sea, See You in My 19th Life, and Sweet Home Seasons 2 and 3.
She is also set to return to the big screen with Revival Man: The Red, scheduled to premiere on September 30.
If she joins Holding On to the End of This Night, the project would give Kim Si-a another opportunity to take on a central role in a darker story while potentially forming a new on-screen partnership with Park Ji Hoon.
A New Drama From the Director of ‘Misty’ and ‘The World of the Married’
‘Holding On to the End of This Night’ is being directed by Mo Wan Il, the acclaimed director behind Misty, The World of the Married, and The Frog.
The drama is being produced by Studio Flow, with its story centered on the unlikely connection between two people from radically different worlds.
For now, however, both Kim Si-a and Park Ji Hoon remain unconfirmed.
Kim Si-a's agency is reviewing the offer, while Park Ji Hoon's agency has stated that his casting has not been decided and that the actor will review scripts after completing his current schedule.
If both actors ultimately accept, Holding On to the End of This Night could mark an intriguing new pairing as the story brings a sanitation worker and a low-level drug dealer together in an unexpected journey of survival and redemption.
