‘The Remarried Empress’ Drops New Teaser: “I Have to Divorce the Emperor”

“I have to divorce the emperor.”

Disney+ has unveiled a new teaser trailer and a new poster for the highly anticipated fantasy romance The Remarried Empress, offering a closer look at the moment Empress Navier’s seemingly perfect life begins to fall apart.

Starring Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young, the upcoming series brings the popular web novel and webtoon to life with a story of love, betrayal, divorce, and a second chance at happiness.

“Do I Love My Husband?”

The new teaser begins with Navier questioning something she had never seriously doubted before:

“For the first time, I began to wonder… Do I love my husband?”

Navier explains that although she had never been completely certain about their love, she had also never questioned it.

That changes when Sovieshu, the emperor of the Eastern Empire, brings another woman into their lives.

Navier’s world begins to shift as Rashta enters the palace, while Crown Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom becomes another unexpected presence in her life.

Shin Min-a plays Navier, the accomplished empress of the Eastern Empire who has spent her life fulfilling her role perfectly.

Ju Ji-hoon stars as Sovieshu, her husband and emperor, whose decision to take Rashta as his lover fundamentally changes their marriage.

The teaser shows Navier watching everything she believed would last forever begin to disappear.

Rashta, played by Lee Se-young, approaches Navier with an apparently innocent attitude, even asking whether she can call her “sister.”

Meanwhile, Lee Jong-suk appears as Heinrey, the prince of the Western Kingdom, whose arrival introduces a completely different possibility into Navier’s future.

“Then I’ll Get Revenge”

As Navier's marriage continues to deteriorate, the teaser takes a dramatic turn.

Rather than simply accepting what has happened to her, Navier begins thinking about revenge.

One of the teaser’s most striking moments comes when she decides to turn the situation around:

“Then I’ll get revenge.”

The footage then builds toward the pivotal divorce confrontation, with Navier ultimately declaring:

“I have to divorce the emperor.”

When asked what will happen next, Navier makes her position clear:

“I will accept the divorce.”

But she has one condition.

She demands approval to remarry.

A New Poster Teases Navier’s New Beginning

Alongside the new teaser, Disney+ has also released another promotional poster featuring the four central characters.

The new material continues to emphasize the complicated relationships at the heart of the story: Navier and Sovieshu’s collapsing marriage, Rashta’s growing presence in the Eastern Empire, and Heinrey’s connection to Navier.

The contrast reflects the central turning point of the story — Navier losing the life she thought would last forever while unexpectedly finding another path forward.

Based on the popular web novel and webtoon by Alphatart, The Remarried Empress follows Navier after her husband seeks a divorce so he can marry his mistress. Rather than allowing the divorce to destroy her future, Navier negotiates her own remarriage to Heinrey, the prince of the Western Kingdom.

The latest teaser offers a more detailed look at the emotional collapse of Navier and Sovieshu’s marriage, while introducing the complicated relationships that will shape her future.

From the first doubts about her marriage to the decision that could change the balance between the two empires, Navier appears ready to take control of what comes next.

When Does ‘The Remarried Empress’ Premiere?

The Remarried Empress premieres November 4, 2026, exclusively on Disney+.

The series stars Shin Min-a as Empress Navier, Ju Ji-hoon as Emperor Sovieshu, Lee Jong-suk as Heinrey, and Lee Se-young as Rashta. It is directed by Jo Soo-won and written by Yeo Ji-na and Hyun Choong-yeol, with Studio N producing the series.

The series will also have its world premiere in the On Screen section of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, where its first three episodes are scheduled to screen before the Disney+ release.

Navier’s marriage may be ending, but the new teaser makes one thing clear: her story is only beginning.
