‘100 Days of Deception’ Reveals New Teaser Introducing Its 5 Main Characters

Five characters. Five secrets. One dangerous lie.
tvN has unveiled a new short teaser for its upcoming historical spy romance 100 Days of Deception, introducing the five central characters at the heart of the story.
The new footage gives quick glimpses of Kim Yoo Jung, Park Jinyoung, Kim Hyun Joo, Lee Moo Saeng, and Jin Sun Kyu, while hinting at the different motives that will bring them together in 1932 Gyeongseong.
Five Characters, Five Different Agendas
The teaser moves rapidly between the five main characters, offering brief but revealing lines of dialogue.
Kim Yoo Jung stars as Lee Ga Kyeong, a talented pickpocket whose biggest dream is to save enough money to leave Korea and go to the United States.
Her life takes an unexpected turn when she is recruited by the independence movement and sent undercover to infiltrate the Japanese Government-General of Korea.
Park Jinyoung plays Kim Tae Woong, also known as Sato Hideo, an elite interpreter and the adopted son of a high-ranking official in the Japanese colonial government.
Their meeting will place Ga Kyeong directly inside a dangerous web of suspicion and deception.
“It Took 13 Years to Find Him”
The teaser also introduces Yoo So Ran, played by Kim Hyun Joo, an independence fighter who has spent years pursuing her own goals.
One of the new lines hints at just how long her mission has been in motion:
“It took 13 years to find that man and for this plan to come together.”
Meanwhile, Lee Moo Saeng plays Yoo Philip, another member of the independence movement who becomes connected to Ga Kyeong and So Ran.
His character is a Gyeongseong correspondent working for a U.S. news agency while secretly supporting the independence movement.
A Dangerous Mission Begins
The fifth central figure is Sato Shinichi, played by Jin Sun Kyu.
As the second-highest-ranking official at the Japanese Government-General of Korea and Tae Woong's adoptive father, Shinichi occupies a position of enormous power.
The teaser gives only brief glimpses of the characters, but their dialogue suggests that each person is hiding something.
For Ga Kyeong, the mission could be her chance to change her future.
For Tae Woong, it may become a question of loyalty, identity, and trust.
And for the independence fighters surrounding them, the stakes are far greater.
A 100-Day Lie
100 Days of Deception is set during the Japanese occupation of Korea and follows Lee Ga Kyeong as she infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea under a false identity.
Her mission is supposed to last 100 days.
But once she becomes entangled with Kim Tae Woong, the boundaries between her mission and her real emotions begin to blur.
The drama's previous teaser already showed Tae Woong becoming increasingly suspicious of Ga Kyeong, while she attempts to win his trust by pretending to confess her feelings.
A recently released set of character posters further emphasizes that all five central characters are carrying their own secrets and objectives.
