‘Between Steps’ Drops Main Trailer Filled With Love, Doubts & Heartbreak
Kim So Hyun and Choo Young Woo’s romance takes a more emotional turn.
ENA has released the main trailer for its upcoming romance drama Between Steps, starring Kim So Hyun and Choo Young Woo.
The new trailer moves beyond the sweet moments shown in the earlier teasers, revealing a relationship filled with attraction, uncertainty, jealousy, and painful choices as the two young characters struggle with their feelings for each other.
From First Love to Heartbreak
The trailer begins with playful and romantic moments between Im Yoo Jin and Park Min Jae.
Yoo Jin openly expresses her feelings, while Min Jae gradually becomes more comfortable around her. Their chemistry is shown through small everyday moments, teasing conversations, and the unmistakable feeling that their relationship is becoming something more.
At one point, Yoo Jin's straightforward personality comes through as she tells Min Jae that she fell for him at first sight.
But the mood soon changes.
“I'm Not the Right Person for You”
As the trailer progresses, the couple's relationship becomes increasingly complicated.
Min Jae tells Yoo Jin:
“I'm not the right person for you.”
The line is followed by scenes of jealousy and emotional distance, with Yoo Jin questioning why Min Jae keeps looking elsewhere even when she is right beside him.
The playful romance shown in the earlier teasers begins to give way to uncertainty.
And eventually, Min Jae tells her that they should stop.
“You Said It Was Okay to Love Me”
One of the most emotional moments comes when Yoo Jin confronts him about the decision.
She reminds Min Jae that he was the one who told her it was okay to love him, before asking why he has the courage to let her go but not the courage to hold on to her.
The trailer ends on another intriguing note, suggesting that even after everything that has happened, the characters may still have to decide whether they are willing to take another step toward each other.
A Romance Between Two Young People Still Finding Their Way
Between Steps follows Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), a former swimmer who lost his right leg due to illness and later found a new path studying robotics.
Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun) is a graduate student who loses her direction after an incident affects her future in the clothing and textiles department. Her encounter with Min Jae introduces her to the world of robotics and changes the course of her life.
Their romance develops inside a robotics laboratory, where their relationship is described as a “spicy, bitter, and sweet” romance between two young people who are still figuring out their lives.

When Does ‘Between Steps’ Premiere?
Between Steps premieres on October 5, 2026, at 10 p.m. KST on ENA, with new episodes airing Mondays and Tuesdays. The drama will also be available through Disney+.
The series is directed by Ahn Pan Seok, known for romance dramas including Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon, with Min Hyo Jung serving as writer.
With the premiere now approaching, the new main trailer suggests that Between Steps won't be only about the excitement of falling in love — it will also explore how difficult it can be to stay together when fear and uncertainty get in the way.
