‘100 Days of Deception’ Reveals Five Characters With Hidden Agendas

“100 Days of Deception” is getting ready for its premiere with five new character motion posters, giving viewers a closer look at the secrets, identities, and conflicting motives behind its main characters.
Set in 1932 Gyeongseong, the upcoming tvN drama follows a top pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the Korean independence movement and infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea. There, she becomes entangled with an elite interpreter who is hiding secrets of his own.
Five Characters, Five Secrets
Kim Yoo Jung plays Lee Ga Kyeong, a skilled pickpocket who enters the Government-General under the fake identity of interpreter trainee Geum Seo Hee. Her mission is to operate as an undercover spy, but her feelings begin to complicate the lies she must maintain.

Meanwhile, Park Jinyoung plays Kim Tae Woong, who also goes by Sato Hideo. As the adopted son of a high-ranking Japanese official, he appears to have everything under control. However, meeting Ga Kyeong begins to shake his certainty.

His character poster carries the line, “Even knowing it was a lie, I kept wanting to believe it,” hinting at the complicated feelings developing between them.
Kim Hyun Joo plays Yoo So Ran, a member of the independence organization Gugukdan who approaches Ga Kyeong with a dangerous deal connected to her own plans for revenge.
Lee Moo Saeng takes on the role of Yoo Philip, a Korean-American correspondent who uses his position as a journalist to investigate the events surrounding the Government-General.
Finally, Jin Sun Kyu plays Sato Shinichi, a powerful official who stands directly against the people working to undermine the colonial government. His cold warning—“Do you think independence will come just by killing me?”—reveals the confidence and danger surrounding his character.
When Lies Start Becoming Real
At the center of the drama is the relationship between Lee Ga Kyeong and Kim Tae Woong.
Their first connection begins with suspicion and deception, but the closer they become, the harder it may be to separate their mission from their true feelings. Previous promotional material has already teased their growing tension, with Tae Woong asking Ga Kyeong to tell him “a real story that isn’t a lie.”
With five characters hiding different truths and pursuing different goals, 100 Days of Deception is set to combine spy suspense, romance, revenge, and political intrigue.
The drama premieres October 10 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN.
