Lee Sung Min, Koo Kyo Hwan, and Yoon Kyung Ho Reportedly Team Up for New Political Thriller Film "Cartel"

Lee Sung Min, Koo Kyo Hwan, and Yoon Kyung Ho are reportedly set to headline the upcoming Korean film "Cartel."

Directed by Um Yoo Na, known for Mal-Mo-E: The Secret Mission and as a screenwriter for A Taxi Driver, the film is described as a political crime thriller set during South Korea's dictatorship in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Cartel will follow an intense struggle for power, political conspiracies, and the ambitions of influential figures operating behind the scenes of the country's ruling elite.

The project has already generated significant attention thanks to its impressive leading cast. Lee Sung Min continues his streak following Netflix's Teach You A Lesson, while Koo Kyo Hwan remains one of Korea's busiest actors with multiple upcoming releases. Yoon Kyung Ho also joins the cast after a string of successful drama and film appearances.

Production is expected to move forward in the second half of 2026, with additional casting and release details yet to be announced.
