A survey of 50 entertainment industry professionals, including journalists, broadcasters, agency representatives, and publicists, has revealed the best Korean dramas of the first half of 2026.

Taking the top spot was Netflix's Teach You A Lesson, which received the most votes. The drama was praised for its bold storytelling, social themes, and satisfying execution, with many respondents highlighting its strong emotional impact and global success.

Second place went to TVING's The Legend of Kitchen Soldier. The military comedy was recognized for successfully adapting its popular webtoon while maintaining its unique humor, memorable characters, and strong performances led by Park Ji Hoon.

Ranking third was SBS's Wonderful New World (My Royal nemesis), starring Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun. Industry insiders praised the series for revitalizing the romantic comedy genre through its engaging script, memorable characters, and the lead actors' chemistry.

The remaining top five included ENA's The Scarecrow in fourth place, while JTBC's Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness(We Are All Trying Here) and TVING's Yumi's Cells Season 3 shared fifth place.

The results reflect the industry's recognition of dramas that combined strong storytelling, critical acclaim, and audience popularity during the first half of 2026.
