TWICE's Sana Reportedly Cast Opposite Takeru Satoh for Her Acting Debut in Nyangi

TWICE's Sana is reportedly set to make her acting debut after 11 years in the music industry, taking on her first film role in the upcoming Korea-Japan co-production Nyangi (working title). The project will also pair her with acclaimed Japanese actor Takeru Satoh for the first time.
According to reports, Nyangi is being produced as a joint Korean-Japanese film project, with filming scheduled to begin in Japan during the second half of 2026. The movie will be directed by Kwon Hyuk Chan, while Korean production companies Cokes and NPIO will collaborate with Japan's JACON on the project.
The film marks an important milestone for Sana, who debuted with TWICE in 2015 and has become one of K-pop's most recognizable global stars. While fellow members have gradually expanded into acting, Nyangi would be Sana's first acting project and her official big-screen debut.
The pairing has already generated excitement, with Takeru Satoh—widely known for his romantic roles in Japanese films and dramas—joining forces with Sana in what could become one of the most anticipated Korea-Japan collaborations in recent years. Meanwhile, TWICE is currently in the midst of its THIS IS FOR world tour, with the group's Seoul finale set to take place this week.
