Doh Kyung Soo (D.O.) is reportedly making his return to the small screen with a unique new drama.

According to Sports Donga, the actor has been cast as the lead in the upcoming series "We Are the Zombies," a human comedy that reimagines the zombie genre by focusing less on action and more on the people struggling to survive together.

A Zombie Story Centered On People

Set inside a large shopping mall quarantined after the outbreak of an unknown virus, We Are the Zombies follows the lives of those trapped inside as they adapt to their new reality.

Rather than emphasizing battles against zombies, the drama explores the everyday lives, relationships, emotional recovery, and hope shared by the survivors, offering a fresh perspective on the popular genre.

Doh Kyung Soo's New Character

Doh Kyung Soo is set to play Kim In Jong, a young man who visits the shopping mall with his friends before suddenly becoming caught in the zombie outbreak.

Kim In Jong has spent years working various part-time jobs to make ends meet. Although he dislikes trouble and prefers an easy life, his quirky personality and warm humanity gradually shine through as he builds meaningful relationships with the people around him while facing the crisis.

Known for his versatility across romance, comedy, thrillers, and action projects, Doh Kyung Soo continues to expand his acting range with what would be his first leading role in a zombie-themed television drama.
