Kim Young Kwang & Chae Soo Bin Confirmed for Netflix Rom‑Com “Take Charge of My Heart”

Netflix has officially confirmed that Kim Young Kwang and Chae Soo Bin will lead its upcoming romantic-comedy series Take Charge of My Heart, adapted from a popular web novel of the same name. Directed by Park Su Won (Work Later, Drink Now 2; Birthcare Center) and penned by rookie writer Song Yu Chae, the show promises witty and emotional storytelling with a fantastical twist.
Story & Characters
Kim Young Kwang plays Baek Ho Rang, the suave, third-generation chaebol heir running his family’s luxury resort empire. Outwardly flawless, he secretly relies on an artificial heart that is losing power—his greatest vulnerability during a high-stakes succession battle.
Chae Soo Bin stars as Na Bo Bae, a romance writer with a shocking backstory: struck by lightning as a child, she now conducts electricity through touch and can literally recharge Ho Rang’s failing heart. Surprisingly, he’s the only person she can physically touch without causing harm. Their encounter triggers an unconventional “contract” that turns their worlds upside down.
