Love in the Moonlight Cast to Reunite for 10th Anniversary Special Variety Show

The cast of KBS2's hit historical romance drama Love in the Moonlight is reuniting 10 years after the series premiered.

Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo-bin and Kwak Dong-yeon will return together for Moonlight Drawn Again (구르미 다시 그린 달빛), a special two-part variety program celebrating the drama's 10th anniversary.

KBS has confirmed that the special will premiere on September 16, with the second episode scheduled to air on September 23.

The Love in the Moonlight Cast Reunites After 10 Years

The upcoming special brings together all five of the drama's main cast members: Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo-bin and Kwak Dong-yeon.

Rather than a scripted drama reunion, Moonlight Drawn Again will follow the actors on a special 1-night, 2-day trip, giving fans an opportunity to see the former co-stars together again in a variety setting.

According to KBS, the reunion was made possible after Park Bo-gum proposed celebrating the drama's 10th anniversary. Kim Yoo-jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo-bin and Kwak Dong-yeon joined the idea, leading to the five actors coming together once again.

The cast reportedly traveled to Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, on August 4 for the two-day trip. The group enjoyed the trip in a cheerful atmosphere, with the experience bringing back memories from the drama's original production.

A 10th Anniversary Reunion

Love in the Moonlight, also known internationally as Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, originally aired on KBS2 in 2016.

Starring Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung, the drama became one of KBS's major hits of the year. It recorded a peak nationwide viewership rating of 23.3% and reportedly ranked No. 1 in TV buzz for seven consecutive weeks during its original run.

The series also helped establish its young cast as major stars, with Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo-bin and Kwak Dong-yeon gaining significant attention through their performances.

Ten years later, the five actors have reunited as established stars, adding another layer of significance to the special.

When Will Moonlight Drawn Again Air?

Moonlight Drawn Again will consist of two episodes.

The first episode will air on September 16 at 8:30 PM KST, followed by the second episode on September 23 at 9:00 PM KST on KBS2.

The special is being produced by the team behind the variety program Youth MT, which previously brought together stars from several popular Korean dramas.

The upcoming reunion is particularly meaningful because the five actors have continued their careers in different directions since the drama ended.
