Biography
Nam Mi Jeong, known professionally as Nam Gyu Ri, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, and former member of SEEYA (씨야). She graduated from Danggok High School and later obtained two bachelor's degrees, one in Applied Music from Myongji College and another in Theater and Film from Kyung Hee University. She made her debut in February 2006 as the group's leader and vocalist with their first album, "The First Mind". Their debut album was an instant hit, and their following material was also met with commercial acclaim and won several prizes. However, she began hinting at the possibility of leaving the group to focus on her acting career. This caused a lot of internal conflicts as the other 2 members often claimed all group activities, concepts, and songs had to be based on her preferences.
