Choi Young Jae, known mononymously as Youngjae, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, actor, and member of GOT7 (갓세븐). He graduated from Korea Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Modeling from Daekyung University. Before debuting, he became a trainee at JYP Entertainment (JYP엔터테인먼트) in 2013. He made his debut in January 2014 as GOT7's main vocalist with their first EP, "Got It?". The group gained attention almost immediately thanks to their live performances and the inclusion of complicated martial arts tricking (a combination of kicks with flips and twists) and street dancing. Months later, they debuted in Japan with the single "Around the World" and began expanding their market to Southeast Asia and the United States.
