Biography

Lee Mi-sook is a veteran South Korean actress born on April 2, 1960. She is considered one of the most prominent actresses of 1980s Korean cinema, often referred to as part of the "Troika of the 1980s" alongside Lee Bo-hee and Won Mi-kyung. Her most famous films from this era include "Whale Hunting" (1984) and "Mulberry" (1986). After a brief retirement from film, she made a successful comeback in the 1998 film "An Affair," which earned her critical acclaim. Since then, she has remained active in both film and television, starring in a wide variety of dramas such as "The Beauty Inside" (2018), and most recently, a supporting role in the hit series "Queen of Tears" (2024).
