Biography

Han Suk-kyu is a veteran South Korean actor born on November 3, 1964. He is considered one of the most respected and bankable actors of his generation, and his work in the 1990s was instrumental in the rise of the modern Korean film industry. He is known for his versatile acting and distinctive voice. His most acclaimed films include "The Contact" (1997), "Christmas in August" (1998), and the classic spy thriller "Shiri" (1999). He has also had a very successful career in television, with notable roles in dramas like "Deep Rooted Tree" (2011), for which he won a Grand Prize (Daesang), and the long-running hit medical drama series "Dr. Romantic" (2016-2023).
