Biography

Kim Hyun Woo, known professionally as Baek Seung, is a South Korean singer, dancer and member of EPEX (이펙스). He graduated from Dongseong High School. He made his debut in June 2021 as the group's rapper with their first EP, "Bipolar Part 1: Prelude of Anxiety". In April 2022, they were involved in controversy when lyrics of their single, "Anthem of Teen Spirit", allegedly made reference to Nazi-inspired imagery. C9 Entertainment (C9 엔터테인먼트) released a statement explaining the song's meaning and concept but, facing heavy criticism, decided to change the lyrics and the MV to avoid further problems.
