Biography
Chu So Jeong, known professionally as EXY, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress and member of WJSN (우주소녀, also known as COSMIC GIRLS). She graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting Entertainment from Dongduk Women's University. As a trainee, she almost debuted in a group called VIVA GIRLS, but the agency went bankrupt before they could debut, and she had to find another place to continue training. She made her debut in February 2016 as the group's leader, main rapper and vocalist with their first EP, "Would You Like?". In August of that year, she became part of a special promotional unit called Y-TEEN alongside fellow label mates MONSTA X. The unit was active as commercial models for a phone company.
