

Biography
Choi Woo-shik is a Canadian-Korean actor who moved to Vancouver with his family when he was about ten years old, lived in Canada for around a decade, then returned to Korea to pursue acting while studying Cultural Studies at Chung-Ang University. He made his acting debut in 2011 with a small role in the drama The Duo, then got his first leading role in the indie film Set Me Free (2014), which earned him major awards including Best New Actor honors. He rose to international fame through movies like Train to Busan (2016) and Parasite (2019), the latter winning the Palme d’Or and the Academy Award for Best Picture. In TV he’s starred in Hogu’s Love (2015) and more recently in Our Beloved Summer (2021-2022) and A Killer Paradox (2024), and in films like The Policeman’s Lineage (2022) and Wonderland (2024).
