

Biography
Hyun Jyu-ni is a South Korean singer, actress and musical theatre performer who first came to public attention as frontwoman of the rock girl band BellaMafia with their 2008 debut album Overstep. She transitioned into acting after being spotted performing in the musical Bandits, making her TV debut in Beethoven Virus and since then playing diverse roles such as a hacker (IRIS), a firefighter (Love 911), and a single mother in I Am Legend. In 2020 she landed her first lead TV role in the long-daily drama Mom Has an Affair. Off screen she married an entrepreneur in 2012 and has two children. She is known for having musical training (she played flute and was part of the Seoul Youth Chamber Orchestra), a strong stage presence, and for balancing both acting and her music/theatre roots.
