Anupam Tripathi, born on November 2, 1988, in New Delhi, India, is an Indian actor based in South Korea. He gained international fame for his portrayal of Ali Abdul (Player 199) in Netflix's global hit series Squid Game (2021), where his character's sincerity and emotional depth resonated with audiences worldwide. Tripathi's journey into acting began in 2006 when he joined the theater group Behroop, led by playwright Shahid Anwar. He later moved to South Korea in 2010 to pursue acting studies at the prestigious Korea National University of Arts, where he received the Arts Major Asian Scholarship.
