Biography

Ryu Seung-ryong, born November 29, 1970, in South Korea, is a highly acclaimed actor known for his versatility in both film and television. He studied theater at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and began his career in theater and non-verbal performance, later transitioning to screen acting. He’s appeared in many major Korean films including War of the Arrows (2011), All About My Wife (2012), Masquerade (2012), Miracle in Cell No. 7 (2013), The Admiral: Roaring Currents (2014), and Extreme Job (2019)—several of which rank among the highest-grossing Korean films of all time. On television he is known for roles in Personal Taste (2010), Painter of the Wind (2008), Kingdom (2019-2020), and Moving (2023).
