

Biography
Kim Tae-woo was born April 15, 1971, in Seoul, South Korea. He studied Theater and Film at Chung-Ang University. His breakout role came in the 2000 war film Joint Security Area, which opened doors for him in both mainstream and arthouse cinema. He became especially known for his collaborations with director Hong Sang-soo, featuring in films like Woman Is the Future of Man, Woman on the Beach, and Like You Know It All. Over the years, he has also made notable appearances in popular television dramas such as The Tale of Nokdu, Romance Is a Bonus Book, Awaken, and The Spy Who Loved Me. Kim is represented by J,Wide-Company and has won several acting awards, including Best Supporting Actor at the Busan Film Critics Awards for Woman on the Beach.
