Esom

Biography

Lee So-young, professionally known as Esom, was born on January 30, 1990 in Seoul, South Korea. She started in the entertainment world as a model in 2008 before making her acting debut in the film Second Half in 2010. Her breakout role came in the 2014 movie Scarlet Innocence, for which she was nominated for Best New Actress in several award ceremonies. Since then, she has starred in notable works like The Third Charm (2018), Taxi Driver (2021), and Samjin Company English Class (2020), the latter winning her Best Supporting Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. In 2023 she signed with the agency Management MMM. She is about 171-172 cm tall and studied at Sejong University after graduating from Mirim Girls’ High School.
