Biography

Kim Ji Soo, known simply as Ji Soo, is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, model, and member of BLACKPINK (블랙핑크). She dropped out of high school but later passed the High School Graduation Certification Examination. In 2011, she joined YG Entertainment (YG엔터테인먼트) as a trainee after passing its auditions. The company had planned a 7-member girl group, but after several years of intense competition, the new group was formed with only 4 members. Prior to her debut, she appeared as a commercial model and in several music videos. Then, in 2015, she had a cameo on KBS's "The Producers". She made her debut in August 2016 as BLACKPINK's lead vocalist and visual with the mini album "Square One".
