Biography
Kim Nam Gil is a South Korean actor, producer, singer, and philanthropist,born in Godeok, Gangdong, Seoul. He is affiliated with Gilstory Entertainment (길스토리이엔티). Kim graduated from Seoul Goil Elementary School (서울고일초등학교), Godeok Middle School (고덕중학교), and Han Young High School (한영고등학교). He later earned a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language from Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (사이버한국외국어대학교). His interest in acting began in high school after watching a play of King Lear, but his parents opposed his career choice. To gain their approval, he enrolled in the Theater Department at Seoul Arts College (서울예술대학), though he was eventually expelled due to family circumstances. He later attended Myongji University (명지대학교), but feeling that the academic environment didn't suit his approach to acting, he dropped out to focus on theater.
