Biography

Jung Eun-chae (정은채), born Jung Sol-mi on November 24, 1986, in Busan, South Korea, is an actress, model, and TV host highly praised for her blend of arthouse and mainstream work. She started her career in modeling, winning CF Model of the Year at the 2011 Asia Model Festival Awards, then made her acting debut with Haunters (2010). Her breakthrough role came in Nobody’s Daughter Haewon (2013), directed by Hong Sang-soo, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. She has since appeared in both films and TV series like The King: Eternal Monarch (2020), Pachinko (2022), Anna (2022), and Return (2018), showing range from historical and genre pieces to melodramatic and suspenseful storytelling.
