Kang Myung-joo

Biography

Kang Myung Joo was a South Korean film and theater actress. She made her acting debut in 1992 with the experimental theater troupe "Kooni, Nara" and went on to perform in numerous stage plays over several decades. On TV, she gained widespread recognition for her role as a judge in the 2022 drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" but had supporting roles in several other dramas. On February 27, 2025, she passed away at the age of 53 after battling with cancer. Her funeral service was held at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and she was buried on March 2. She is survived by her husband, actor Park Yoon Hee, and by their two children, the eldest being actress Park Se Young (born in 1999). Source: MyDramaList
